WHAT IS STREAMER?
StreamerP2P is a new way to stream radio and video via a network of peers. For more detailed information on how the Streamer software works, please go here.

HOW DO I TUNE-IN TO RADIO RESIDUE?
The provided station link below will automatically install the software required. All you have to do is agree to the one time installation of an unobtrusive and very safe ActiveX component - its so easy its not funny. You may also require Winamp to listen to the stream - download the free version of Winamp here. Please be aware that the 'lite' version of Winamp does not contain the necessary decoders to play OGG streams.

After clicking on the station link precede with the following directions:
1. Right click on the yellow bar across the top and choose "Install ActiveX Control" before you close the the window. This works with IE and most ActiveX friendly browsers.


2. Then choose "Install". Please have no fear - Iain McLeod is a good GOD, who made this amazing software work. The ActiveX component only provides a connection to the Streamer software whenever you click on our station link.
3. The Streamer player should now appear. If not, double click on the Streamer icon in your system tray. The first time you run Streamer it may need to be unblocked in your firewall - some firewalls may require that you allow Streamer as a server. Once installed, this software doesn't use your browser to operate and the player can be minimised to your system tray while listening to Radio Residue. If you wish to chat to the DJ, click the "Dj Chat" button on the player interface and give yourself a nickname to enter the room.

4. Video Streams Only
Each Radio Residue TV Show has different connection requirements - please check Broadcast Events to find out which shows you can watch. Our TV Shows are streamed in NSV format to your Winamp player.

Connect to Radio Residue TV via the same link provided above. For the Streamer p2p system to work properly, each listener needs to be able to upload the stream to at least one other listener. Click the config button on the Streamer player interface and follow the directions in the image below.
